Eric Johnson’s Ah Via Musicom was one of those cd’s in college (way back in 1990…) that always stayed in the play rotation pile. Here’s his big hit from that album, ‘Cliffs of Dover’ and after that a live tribute to Jerry Reed:

So the Tribute to Jerry Reed sent me to youtube looking for Jerry Reed. Though my own knowledge began and ended with Smokey and the Bandit, I did know he was a legit country music guy… but holy crap was Jerry Reed a great guitarist. What a revelation.
