Here are two great Genesis albums I was exposed to as a kid via my dad’s and uncles record collections. The first is ‘Selling England By the Pound‘ and the second, ‘A Trick of the Tail‘, is the first album with Phil Collins doing lead vocals (replacing Peter Gabriel and previously doing drums and backing vocals).
Both are great albums worth a full listen, with Selling England By the Pound now widely regarded/claimed as an early progressive masterpiece. I remember being fascinated by the album cover and always wondered how they came up with their seemingly crazy but interesting songs and how they could remember such long and complicated songs. My only guess is weed and spicy chips. Enjoy.
